An entrepreneur with an “MBA in street smarts”, Susan’s
diverse 20 year sales and marketing background most recently
included launching a golf training franchise; specifically owning
and developing the west coast of North America as well as assisting
in the marketing and awarding of over 40 sites and eight regional
franchises world-wide.
Prior to that, she opened the first Hilton
Hotel franchise in western Canada – a challenge she took
on after a Sales and Marketing Director role with Delta
Hotels in Whistler, BC.
Her corporate career has also included Director
of Sales and Marketing with Grouse Mountain Resorts, a top
Vancouver tourist
attraction; National Marketing Coordinator with Rogers
Video,
a Canadian video store chain with over 100 locations; and she
was a member of the original Canadian launch team for Koala
Springs, the imported Australian beverage.
Susan formed SMDmarketing in 1990. What started out as a side-line
business has grown into a business success with top clients from
all over North America.
